Biography
Khalifa DIOP, doctor of geography, graduate of the Leïdi laboratory “Dynamics of territories and development”, Geography section of the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis, and researcher at LASPAD (Laboratory for the Analysis of Societies and Powers Africa / Diaspora) of the same university. Course in “Ecosystems and Environment”, specifically in Planning and Management of peri-urban environments. Doctoral research conducted on the challenges of environmental management in urban areas through peri-urban agriculture in West African cities, specifically in Dakar in the Niaye de Pikine.
Currently, Khalifa DIOP is a researcher and cartographer at LASPAD – UGB in Saint-Louis. He coordinates the Citizen Barometer of Security, monitors the Global Africa project, maps the HIRA program (sexual violence against adolescent girls) and the survey of publishing houses on the continent (54 countries).
Lectures as a visiting lecturer in Geography and Planning, Religion and Territories, and Geography of Religions at Gaston Berger University in Saint-Louis. Lectures also given at UVS on Climate Change and Territories, Migration and Population Policies, Management of Natural Resources and Environmental and Social Risks.
Doctorate in progress at the Center for the Study of Religions of the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis on the theme of the territory of religion through the mapping of Arab-Islamic educational establishments in Senegal.
In Research and Development, development on behalf of the ARD of Saint-Louis of a Communal Action Plan for the Environment (PACE) for the commune of Fass Ngom, in Saint-Louis.
