The Laboratory for the Analysis of Societies and Powers / Africa – Diasporas (LASPAD) and the Citizen Security Barometer (BCS) are pleased to invite you to an online seminar on the theme: “Readings and perspectives of the Fulani community (Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso) in light of the domino theory.”
The objective of this seminar is to use domino theory to understand how the social, identity and security dynamics of the Fulani community are spreading across Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso, to identify the cross-border accelerating and inhibiting factors, and to develop courses of action (public policies, inter-community dialogue initiatives) to prevent or support these processes at the regional level.
The seminar will be led by Professor Mamadou Goita, a socio-economist and development researcher from Mali. He is the Executive Director of IRPAD/Afrique (Institute for Research and Promotion of Alternatives in Development).
Moderation will be provided by Mr. Aboubacar Sidik Diakité, PhD student in Political Science, Junior Project Manager of the LASPAD/UGB Citizen Security Barometer.
